Dr. Allen Ho graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with Highest Honors in the Field. He received his MD at the UCLA School of Medicine and completed his surgical internship and otolaryngology residency at Stanford University. He also underwent a year-long HHMI research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) during this time. Dr. Ho subsequently completed a 2.5 year head and neck oncologic surgery fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
Dr. Ho has presented at numerous national and international meetings, including at AACR, ASCO, AHNS, AAOHNS, and the ATA. He has published extensively in high-impact journals including Nature Genetics, Cancer Cell, Cancer, and Head and Neck, and authored several chapters in seminal textbooks in the field. His clinical and research interests lie in cancer genomics, PET/CT surveillance in head and neck cancer, and thyroid surgery. Dr. Ho is board-certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, and serves on the AAOHNS Head and Neck Surgery and oncology Committee and the AAOHNS Medical Informatics Committee.
Dr. Ho was born and raised outside Chicago, IL. He is fluent in conversational Mandarin, and is an avid enthusiast in photography, travel, and web design.
